Kids Health First is composed of 34 independent pediatric practices that collaborate to ensure the highest standards of healthcare for Atlanta's children and teens.
Mission
Kids Health First Pediatric Alliance is committed to improving children's healthcare and enhancing the practice of medicine through its network of clinically integrated pediatric practice members located throughout metro Atlanta.
History
Kids Health First began in 1997 as a collaborative network of independent pediatric practices throughout Atlanta. Since its inception, the alliance has served as a strong voice for children's health in Atlanta. Kids Health First continues to advance pediatrics through participation in clinical research studies, ongoing medical education, establishment of "best practices" policies and undertaking significant quality initiatives.
Significant Achievements
Selection by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Johnson & Johnson for participation in the first class of the Pediatric Leadership Alliance in 2000
First NIH funded research study to track how private practice pediatricians diagnose and follow the care of ADHD patients
Enhanced statewide electronic system for tracking childhood vaccinations
Recognition by Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services and "Immunize Georgia's Little Guys"
